Jeff Ovens is currently the coordinator for STIX Hockey Academy Spring Programs and STIX Hockey Academy Summer Camps. Jeff played Minor Hockey in Toronto, Ontario and went on to play 5 years for Queen’s University in the CIS. In addition to his involvement in STIX, Jeff worked as the Player Development Coach of the Medicine Hat Tigers from 2010-2014.

Rob Godfrey is currently the Head Coach for the STIX Pro Spring Program and a Coach for STIX Hockey Academy Summer Camps. Rob played minor hockey in his hometown of Thunder Bay, Ontario, then proceeded to play four years at the Junior A level before accepting a NCAA Division 1 scholarship to play at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. In 2007 Rob graduated as a student-athlete, but remained on the Holy Cross staff as an Assistant Coach through the summer of 2011. Rob relocated to Calgary in September of 2011.

Matt Murphy is currently the Head Coach for the STIX 00 Spring Program, a Coach for STIX Hockey Academy Summer Camps, and the coordinator for STIX Collegiate Exposure. Matt played minor hockey in his hometown of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia and went on to play 2 years of Junior A, followed by 4 years at Ryerson University in the CIS. In addition to his involvement with STIX Hockey Academy, Matt has also coached in the NWCAA and for Hockey Alberta.

Jamie Fox will be the Head Coach for the STIX 01 Spring Program. Jamie is currently the Head Hockey Instructor for the FSD Peak Athletics Hockey Program in Okotoks, Alberta. Jamie is a Mentor and Development Coach who prides himself on positive teaching methods and ethical decision making. His philosophy is built on values such as respect, passion, integrity, work ethic, and character. Jamie is valued as a leader in skill development for players and coaches throughout the hockey industry. For the past 15 years Jamie has lived in Quispamsis, New Brunswick where he was the CEO of Gusto Hockey and Sports Inc. and was the Coach Mentor for the Kennebecasis Valley Minor Hockey Association, which is one of the largest Minor Hockey Associations in Atlantic Canada.


Paul Bradley

Paul Bradley is currently the Head Coach for the STIX Jr. North Spring Program. Paul is also the Head Hockey Instructor for the STIX Hockey Academy Summer Camp in Black Diamond. Paul played minor hockey in Calgary for the SW Royals before moving on to Jr. A in the AJHL for three years. Following this, Paul played five years in the CIS before wrapping up hockey with a brief pro career in the US and Europe. In addition to his involvement with STIX, Paul is a teacher in the Calgary Catholic District School Board and runs a Hockey Canada Skills Academy in NE Calgary.

Derek Stuart is currently the Head Coach for the STIX Jr. South Spring Program. During the hockey season Derek is the Assistant Coach for the Okotoks Oilers in the AJHL. Prior to this season, Derek was the Head Coach of the Calgary Mustangs for 1.5 seasons, an Assistant Coach with the Okotoks Oilers (AJHL) for 3 seasons and an Assistant Coach for the Calgary Buffaloes (AMHL) for 2 seasons.

Darcy Hulston

Darcy Hulston is a key cog in the building of STIX Hockey Academy.
A co-founder of the STIX Hockey Academy spring programs, Darcy has been involved in the evolution of these spring programs from day 1.

Moving forward with STIX, Darcy will be the Director of SCE – Calgary.
